Martyn has worked in SEND for over 30 years, and has experience of the system as a teacher, secondary head teacher, SEND adviser and Local Authority senior leader. He has been a teacher and leader in mainstream and special schools as well as several years working as a SENCO . As an LA leader, Martyn has lead a range of school improvement and inclusion projects, including delivering new approaches to funding and the graduated approach in a local authority. Martyn is a regular speaker at conferences and training events and acts as a SEND peer reviewer for the Local Government Association.
