School Based Nurseries initiative: Supporting continuity from 2 – 5 years

Schools have been provided with an opportunity to extend their EYFS by introducing Nursery provision into their schools.  Polly Sharman will explore the key principles behind ensuring that quality is and continues to be the driving factor for all children.  

The session will include considerations for a clear focus on curriculum development and an approach to assessment that can demonstrate impact and quality, as well as how the environment and structure of the day supports all children to thrive. 

This session is designed to help settings and schools understand the implications and practicalities of this initiative, and how this establishes a strong foundation for children’s learning development and outcomes.
